    Eami lost her own kind during an invasion. The Asojá, the bird-god-woman of the native culture, flies and brings the memories of the past, present and the future. Today, the Asojá is Eami. She must leave while wondering about death and life. EAMI is a story of the Ayoreo Totobiegosode people who suffer from forced displacement and severe deforestation. In-between the mythical and the real, it shows the eternal love for the land and its people.

    Paz ENCINA

    Born in Paraguay in 1971, her films interweave documentary elements and fictional plots. ENCINA's feature debut has won the FIPRESCI Award at the Cannes Festival in 2006. She is the first Paraguayan director joining the Hollywood Film Academy. EAMI is her fourth feature.
