    HSEU Ruey-Ting 2016 Taiwan Experimental color 22min Chinese HDCAM
    In desperation to be exempt from military service through overeating, N comes to the hospital for checkup and sits on the bench in the holding area. Confinements, restrictiveness, and norms born with the society are like towering, insurmountable walls between our desired and us. Throughout our lives, we, dominated by destiny, succumb to many things intertwined in our lives willingly or reluctantly. We give up exercising control of our fates by degrees and drown ourselves in obliviousness toward this situation with time. From the angle and mental status of N, this film is about struggles and repression in striving between compromises and rebellion when we are enslaved at its harshest by social confinements.

    HSEU Ruey-Ting

    Born in 1994, HSEU Ruey-Ting is a senior student from the College of Communication Undergraduate Degree Program of National Chengchi University. She has been enthusiastic about the art of movies since her senior year in high school. During her student life, she has kept producing works. She possesses a sensitive insight and a strong critique. The style of her works is mostly fantasy, but she is brave to any attempt.
