    Cecilia Mangini 1962 Italy Documentary b/w 108min Italian DCP
    A critical documentary, compiled from the archival footages and accompanied by a poet’s commentary, shows the sweep of modern Italian history from 1911 to 1961, centering on the conditions leading to Fascism and the post-WWII reaction to the Fascist experience. Arguably the best-known work from Cecilia MANGINI and Lino Del FRA. They co-directed this film with Lino MICCICHE, as to make the very first and one of the most significant works on fascism since the liberation of Italy. After it’s finished, censorship blocked the film for over a year.

    To Arms, We’re Fascists! was marked by the collaboration with Cecilia MANGINI, her husband Lino Del FRA, and a filmmaker, historian, Lino MICCICHE. Lino Del FRA is an Italian filmmaker and scriptwriter. He worked as a film critic, then as a documentarian. Lino MICCICHE was in charge of the film column for 30 years.
