For twenty years I lived in the same apartment in Paris. The "landscape" that I looked out the window became my home, my living space. It was also a kind of calendar, a watch: the passage of time, the passage of the seasons. At the moment of leaving, I made this film to physically keep with me images, details, lights, colors, textures whose sight and existence were indispensable to me. I filmed fixed shots by interposing blacks of varying duration. I overlapped six different shots on the same film by changing their duration and that of blacks. Each layer has its own rhythm determined in advance. In the end, the series of images overlap with each other like segments of memory.
