Wall of Sound Flowers

Francien van Everdingen 2004 Netherlands Experimental color 6min 16mm
The protagonist is not interested in the outside world. She prefers to stay at home and immerse herself in the drudgery of everyday chores. In the background, the wallpaper goes wild and does its thing in bright colours and strange patterns that roll over each other in their desire for attention. They provide a commentary on this diligent interior cleaner, zooming around her briefly like phantasms gone crazy.
