How Mermaids Breed

Joan Ashworth 2002 England Animation color 10min Digi-Beta
How many people recall a male instead of a female when they hear the word “mermaid”? Why is it in the English language —in which "man" is affixed to words more often— mermaid is more dominantly used than merman? Is this because the mermaid myth is devised by self-indulgent man? This film is a humorous subvention of such mythologies.
