The House

Vivienne Jones 2003 England Animation b/w & color 9min Betacam
This short film combines authentic images and animations. The filmmaker explores a group of mentally-challenged old ladies' lives and memories through their paintings and the animations. The film is then based on the filmmaker's inspiration from these paintings. The staffs spent five years tracing these women's lives and giving new life to the women's past and precious memories through animation. This film has entered lots of important film festivals.

Vivienne Jones

Vivienne Jones studied Theatre Costume at Wimbledon School of Art and worked as a theatre designer and costume prop maker for many years until studying a degree in Animation at West Surrey College of Art&Design in 1992. A year after finishing college she was Animator in Residence at the Museum of The Moving Image, later teaching evening classes there. She works as a freelance animation director and assistant costume designer for television and film. She is currently working on the next Harry Potter film as costume buyer.
