    The Stitching Sisterhood

    Wei-ssu CHIEN 2004 Taiwan Documentary color 56min Chinese Betacam
    A group of northern Taiwanese women use needle and thread to stitch a better life. Although the women in the film seem familiar and ordinary, found in every neighbourhood of Taiwan, they have become empowered through self-education and the gentle art of needlecraft. Let's share their story and process. I believe that these women's "empowerment model", which is shown in this film, may apply to women all over the world.
