    Our Parents Are Gay and So Is Life

    Few parents can be calm and cool when their children tell them about their gay tendency. But try to imagine how you will react if one day your parents tell you that they are gay. No matter whether they are adopted by their gay parents or their parents come out of the closet after the children are born, these children get to face the reality that their parents are gay. Is it cool to have gay parents? Are gay parents more open-minded? Should they be called Dad or Mom? Only the children know the answers to these questions.

    Marie Mandy

    Marie Mandy was born in Leuven in 1961 and grew up in Africa and the United States. She received a Bachelor's degree in Roman Philology from the University of Louvain. In 1988, she graduated from the London International Film School, thanks to grants from the Belgian Vocational Foundation, and a scholarship from the International Rotary Foundation. She created her own production company in Brussels, Amazone Films, with which she produced and directed Judith (short, 1989), Pardon Cupidon (feature, 1992) and Madeleine in Heaven (documentary, 1999).
