    This playful video, Tracey Moffatt turns the tables on traditional representations of desire to examine the power of the female gaze in the objection of men's bodies. "Heaven" begins with surreptitiously taped documentary footage of brawny surfers changing in and out of bathing and wet suits. While the soundtrack switches between the ocean surf and male chanting. Moffatt moves closer to alternately flirt with and tease her subjects, who respond with a combination of preening and macho reticence. This witty piece is a potent and hilarious meditation on cinematic and everyday sex roles, voyeurism, power, and the thin line between admiration and invasiveness.

    Born u Brisbane, Australia, on Novemember 12, 1960,Tracey Moffatt studied visual communication at the Queensiand College of Art . She graduated in 1982; her first solo show of photography took place in 1989, in Sydney, where she still lives and works. Moffatt first gained widespread critical attention for her short film ''Night Cries: A Rural Tragedy ''(1990),which was an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival that year. Her first feature film, ''Bedevil'' was shown in Un Certain Regard Cannes in 1993, and her documentary films and music videos have won critical acclaim. Tracey Moffatt's photography is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Gallery in London.
