A documentary that intertweaves director's family history and the history of Nazi Germany. Her grandmother, mother and daughter appear in the film, talking of the time under Nazi regime. Explaining Nazism from a different point of view, the documentary arouse reflection on how having lived in the principle offending nation in the war, one is not free from the judgment of history and how it burdens later generations with guilt and shame.

Claudia von alemann is the director of several feature-length films and numerous documents. She has made four documents dealing with the times before and after the war in 1945, after the German reunification in the Thuringian village of Seebach.
