The family tragedy had traumatized Dong and her sense of time sequence became dysfunctinal. She lost the ability to discern reality and fantasy. Instead of floating in the dead sea of memories, she choose dreams so as to break the order, sink into depravity to find escape from reality, and find a vent and a set of rules that were tolerated by the world.
