Papa Blue

Charlene Shih 2003 Taiwan color 13min Chinese DCP
The story is about a father and his daughter, and their journey through the disease of depression. Words from her father kept ringing in her ears. She tired to look for him. In her memories, he was always surrounded by dark haze which got darker and darker, until she finally could not see his face. A unique experimental film that combines live action, documentary, and animation.
