Filmmaker Melissa Kyu-Jung Lee, an Australia-Korean, confronts both her own heritage and the culture of parents' birthplace in this exploration of the hopes and aspirations of an aging generation of Koreans who have confronted both political unrest and the restrictions of a disciplinarian society.

Melissa Kyu-Jung LEE

Born in Korea, Melissa has lived in Seoul, Tehran and Sydney. Melissa is a BA (communications) graduate of the University of Technology; and a Masters (Honors) graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School, specialising in writing, directing and producing documentary In 2001, Melissa was voted one of the "30 Rising Stars under 30" by the Sydney Morning Herald's mag; was the recipient of the prestigious Ogawa Shinsuke Prize at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival in Japan.
