The story begins with three immigrant Chinese women living in Liverpool. The older generation of Chinese women are the ones who guide and raise the children, and often sacridice their own careers for their family; their emotions being expressed during the making of food for their families.For them, to show you care is to make food for the family.Where do they get their "satisfaction" from? This documentary aims to celebrate the strength and nobility of Chinese women and touch on issues such as being an immigrant, language problems, generational differences and what women were expected to do in the past.

Jane Wong

Jane Wong was born and raised in Liverpool where an early start in science masked artistic desired. A degree in Chemistry from London University led to a job in the New York setting exams for medical students. On return to English, Jane worked in radio and moved in to television. After working as an editor for in radio and moved in to television. After working as an editor for many years, Jane applied to film school to pursue her dream of directing documentaries. Dim Sum (a little Bit of Heart) is her graduation film. Since returning to English, Jane has been working in British Television as a Director.
