Tari Ito (Chieko Yamagami) is a performing artist who has searched her identity by performing during 10 years. She revealed her sexual identity as a lesbian in her performance, "Self Portrait" in 1996. She felt in difficult to live in a society that follows men's values. She began new performances to try to explore the body and eroticism of a life in the face of sexual discrimination and heterosexuality in 1998.
