    Encourage the patients from a mental hospital to form relationships with each other, get married and live as a family. That’s the bold new idea of the head of Ehsan House in Southern Tehran. For the past 20 years, its 480 patients have lived in separate male and female units with no hope of ever leaving or of having meaningful sexual relationships. A sensitive and delicate film on personal relationships and the complex notion of madness.

    He started to work as an editor and director for TV channels in 2009. In 2017 his first feature-length documentary 20th Circuit Suspects premiered at Hot Docs.

    Atieh Attarzadeh

    With cinema studies and documentary filmmaking backgrounds, she has accomplished three short documentary films, The Marriage Project is her first feature-length documentary.
