世界著名的女性主義電影導演之一。拍攝影像類型包含劇情片、紀錄片及短片。主要作品有《短角情事》(1955)、 《五點到七點的克萊歐》(1962)、《無法無家》(1985)等。今年90歲的她以《最酷的伴侶》入圍奧斯卡最佳紀錄片，並獲奧斯卡終身成就獎。
